The game with biggest result difference took place in Bamberg. Local Brose Baskets (9-18) were outscored by seventh ranked Spanish Baskonia (16-11) 96-71. The game was mostly controlled by Baskonia. Brose Baskets was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baskonia dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Brose Baskets' 26. It was a quality performance for Georgian forward Tornike Shengelia (206-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Panathinaikos. Defending German champion Brose Baskets dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Baskonia's next round opponent will be Panathinaikos (#5) in Athens. Brose Baskets will play on the road against Armani Milano (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
