The game with biggest result difference took place in Bamberg. Local Brose Baskets (9-18) were outscored by seventh ranked Spanish Baskonia (16-11) 96-71. The game was mostly controlled by Baskonia. Brose Baskets was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baskonia dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Brose Baskets' 26. It was a quality performance for Georgian forward Tornike Shengelia (206-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Baskonia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Panathinaikos. Defending German champion Brose Baskets dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Baskonia's next round opponent will be Panathinaikos (#5) in Athens. Brose Baskets will play on the road against Armani Milano (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
