The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourteenth ranked German Brose Baskets' (10-18) road victory over 15th ranked Italian Armani Milano (7-21) 84-76 on Thursday. Armani Milano trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-84 at the end of the game. Brose Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for French Fabien Causeur (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Brose Baskets' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American-Georgian guard Richard Hickman (189-85, college: NC-Greensboro) added 20 points and 4 assists in the effort for Armani Milano. Defending German champion moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Maccabi T-A and Galatasaray. Armani Milano lost seventh consecutive game. Defending Italian champion keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Brose Baskets will face higher ranked Darussafaka (#9) in Istanbul in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Armani Milano will play on the road against Zalgiris (#10) in Kaunas and hope to win that game.
