Everything could happen in Bamberg at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Turkish Galatasaray and 12th ranked German Brose Baskets had identical 10-19 record. But Brose Baskets were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Istanbul 84-79 on Thursday night. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 26-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-Czech swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. American forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 15 points. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) who recorded 17 points and Greek guard Nikolaos Zisis (197-83, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray (11-19) moved-up to twelfth place. Defending German champion Brose Baskets dropped to the thirteenth position with 20 games lost.
