Regular Season Round 30: EA7 Armani - Unics 68-91
Date: April 7, 2017
Bottom-ranked Russian Unics Kazan managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the twelve-game losing streak. This time they outleveled fifteenth-ranked Italian Armani Milano 91-68. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 23-point difference proves that Unics Kazan was well-prepared to that game. Armani Milano was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 55-29 second half run of Unics Kazan. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American Latavius Williams (203-91, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Spanish point guard Joaquin Colom (188-88, college: Forca Lleida, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Unics Kazan players scored in double figures. Unics Kazan's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Davide Pascolo (201-90) replied with 18 points and American swingman Rakim Sanders (193-89, college: Fairfield) added 14 points in the effort for Armani Milano. Unics Kazan (8-22) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with EA7 Armani.
