Poland upset Portugal to clinch the top position in Group A. Karolina Matkowska scored 14 points to lead the winners. Poland snatched a 20:17 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 10-point mark heading into the fourth term and marched to the victory. Natalia Klimek chipped in 9 points for the winners. Beatriz Jordao delivered 12 points and 11 rebounds for Portugal.
