Regular Season Round 3: FC Barcelona - Zalgiris 75-81

Another exciting game was between Lithuanian Zalgiris and Spanish FC Barcelona where Zalgiris (2-1) beat FC Barcelona (1-2) on the road 81-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But FC Barcelona won fourth quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 8 assists. American Aaron White (206-92, college: Iowa) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian Adam Hanga (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Finnish Petteri Koponen (194-88) added 13 points and 6 assists in the effort for FC Barcelona. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris will play against Real Madrid at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FC Barcelona will play against Armani Milano (#15) to get more than just one victory in their record.
