Euroleague top team - Russian Dynamo Kursk (8-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Belgian Castors Braine (2-6) 72-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Castors Braine. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo Kursk. Castors Braine was better in second period 18-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dynamo Kursk looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Russian guard Epiphanny Prince (175-88, college: Rutgers) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian-American forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Dynamo Kursk's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Latvian center Anete Steinberga (190-90, college: UTEP, agency: LBM Management) replied with 30 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Serbian-Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Castors Braine. Dynamo Kursk have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 8-0 record. Defending Belgian champion Castors Braine keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Dynamo Kursk will face Villeneuve D'Ascq (#5) on the road in the next round. Castors Braine will play against Bourges and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
