Olympiacos saw off Sf.Gheorghe to stay in the title race. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Sf.Gheorghe was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sf.Gheorghe to just 4 points in second quarter. Olympiacos made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. American power forward Victoria Macaulay (193-90, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-92, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Belarusian center Marina Kress (196-80) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games.
