Bottom-ranked Turkish Anadolu Efes managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses. This time they won against eleventh-ranked German Brose Baskets in Istanbul 69-58. Brose Baskets were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 25-10 charge of Anadolu Efes, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Derrick Brown (203-87, college: Xavier) who led the winners and scored 21 points. His fellow American import point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (199-87, college: USC) came up with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Serbian power forward Dejan Musli (213-91) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Brose Baskets in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes (4-11) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with EA7 Armani and Valencia. Brose Baskets lost their third game in a row. Defending German champion keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Anadolu Efes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Panathinaikos (#4) in Athens and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
