Gernika topped Galatasaray in Game 1. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-69. Gernika looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Galatasaray's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, college: Rice, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
