MBA held off Botas at home. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-12. But Botas won second period 27-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Botas outrebounded MBA 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Varvara Psareva (192-85) accounted for 5 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Olcay Cakir-Turgut (182-93, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Botas in the defeat. Four Botas players scored in double figures.
