The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. Galatasaray was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin forced 20 Galatasaray turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Lithuanian forward Marius Grigonis (198-94) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. American DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown) replied with 7 points and his fellow American import swingman Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) added 11 points in the effort for Galatasaray. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
