Gran Canaria trailed 40-38 at halftime, rallying from a 24-11 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Darussafaka made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Cuban forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. American guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. American DJ Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Czech center Ondrej Balvin (217-92, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Gran Canaria. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
