It looked good early as Grissin Bon RE took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Grissin Bon RE was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-68. American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse, agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Alpha Kaba (209-96, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. American forward Jalen Reynolds (208-92, college: Xavier) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and Amedeo Della-Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
