Regular Season Round 11: USK Praha - Dynamo K. 56-88

An interesting game for Russian Dynamo Kursk (11-0) which played road game in Praha against second-ranked Czech USK Praha (6-5). Leader Dynamo Kursk had an easy win 88-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of USK Praha. The game without a history. Dynamo Kursk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Dynamo Kursk looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Polish-French center Helena Ciak (197-89) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian-American forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Five Dynamo Kursk players scored in double figures. Dynamo Kursk's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard DeWanna Bonner (193-87, college: Auburn, agency: ProDep Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) added 9 points and 13 rebounds respectively for USK Praha in the defeat. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Dynamo Kursk. They maintain first place in Group A with 11-0 record. Defending Czech champion USK Praha dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Bourges. Dynamo Kursk will meet at home Bourges (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. USK Praha will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and hope to secure a win.
