Galatasaray stormed past Gernika in Istanbul to pave their way into Round of 16. The game without a history. Galatasaray led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Galatasaray especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American power forward Victoria Macaulay (193-90, college: Temple) notched 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Swedish Abdi Farhiya (188-92) supported her with 18 points. Even 14 points and 7 assists by American guard Blake Dietrick (178-93, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Gernika. Ukrainian center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, college: Rice, agency: ProDep Management) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for the guests.
