An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Praha. Second ranked Hungarian Sopron Basket faced 3rd placed Czech USK Praha. Guests from Sopron (9-4) defeated host USK Praha (7-6) 77-61. They outrebounded USK Praha 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Tina Jovanovic (192-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Yvonne Turner (176-87, college: Nebraska, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 20 points and 5 steals for the winners. Four Sopron Basket players scored in double figures. Spanish point guard Marta Xargay-Casademont (181-90) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) added 10 points in the effort for USK Praha. Sopron Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending Hungarian champion maintains second place in Group A with 9-4 record having four points less than leader Dynamo K. Defending Czech champion USK Praha keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Bourges. Sopron Basket will play against Bourges (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. USK Praha will play against Castors Braine and hopes to get back on the winning track.
