Euroleague top team - Russian CSKA (16-4) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked German Brose Baskets (7-13) in Moscow 81-72. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. CSKA made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was French Nando De-Colo (196-87) who scored 20 points and 4 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!). Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Maodo Lo (191-92, college: Columbia) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Russian champion maintains first position with 16-4 record. Defending German champion Brose Baskets dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with FC Barcelona and Valencia. CSKA will meet at home Real Madrid (#5) in the next round. Brose Baskets will play against Panathinaikos (#3) and hope to secure a win.
