Regular Season Round 21: FC Barcelona - EA7 Armani 81-83

Important game to mention about took place in Barcelona. Fifteenth ranked Italian Armani Milano (7-14) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Spanish FC Barcelona (7-14) 83-81 in the fight for the thirteenth place. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 2 points. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Pau Ribas (195-87) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Armani Milano moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with FC Barcelona and Valencia. Armani Milano will face higher ranked Crvena Zvezda (#12) in Beograd in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
