Girona rolled over Galatasaray in Istanbul. It looked good early as Galatasaray took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Argon Uni Girona took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 3 points. Argon Uni Girona outrebounded Galatasaray 43-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Brazilian center Nadia Colhado (193-89, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul) answered with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Polish center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Galatasaray. Galatasaray's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
