Brose Baskets trailed 37-34 at halftime, rallying from a 28-11 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Valencia Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Fernando San-Emeterio (199-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Dejan Musli (213-91) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (199-87, college: USC) scored 11 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Spanish champion moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Brose Bask. Valencia Basket will meet at home higher ranked Baskonia (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brose Baskets will play against the league's second-placed Olympiacos where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
