Regular Season Round 24: Maccabi T-A - CSKA 73-93

Russian leader CSKA delivered the nineteenth victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (12-12) 93-73 in Tel-Aviv. The game was mostly controlled by CSKA. Maccabi T-A managed to win third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of French Nando De-Colo (196-87) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and American swingman Cory Higgins (196-89, college: Colorado) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Norris Cole (188-88, college: Cleveland St.) with 13 points and 4 assists and Australian power forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Russian champion maintains first position with 19-5 record. Loser Maccabi T-A keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. CSKA will meet at home Unicaja Malaga (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi T-A will play against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
