Regular Season Round 27: Fenerbahce - Maccabi T-A 87-73

Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 8th ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (13-14) was defeated by third ranked Turkish Fenerbahce (19-8) 87-73 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-73. It was a great shooting night for Fenerbahce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Serbian Marko Guduric (196-95, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Italian forward Luigi Datome (203-87) helped adding 16 points. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Australian power forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Turkish champion moved-up to second place. Loser Maccabi T-A dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Fenerbahce will meet Crvena Zvezda (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi T-A will play against Panathinaikos and hope to secure a win.
