Regular Season Round 30: Valencia - Maccabi T-A 87-84

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Spanish Valencia Basket (12-18) edged at home 9th ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (13-17) 87-84 on Friday. Maccabi T-A cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Belgian point guard Sam Van-Rossom (188-86) chipped in 11 points. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Norris Cole (188-88, college: Cleveland St.) who recorded 22 points and 5 assists and American-Hungarian swingman DeAndre Kane (195-89, college: Iowa St., agency: BeoBasket) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending Spanish champion maintains eleventh position with 12-18 record. Maccabi T-A lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 17 games lost.
