Regular Season Round 3: Olympiacos - AX Armani 75-99

Greek Olympiacos (2-1) recorded a loss in Pireus. Hosts were rolled over by Italian Armani Milano (2-1) 99-75. It looked good early as Olympiacos took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Armani Milano had a 20-15 second period charge getting the lead and Olympiacos were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-99. Armani Milano made 25-of-27 charity shots (92.6 percent) during the game, while Olympiacos only scored nine points from the stripe. Olympiacos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 4 assists. American point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (212-94, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Georgios Printezis (204-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Olympiacos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Armani Milano will play against Khimki (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Olympiacos will play against Maccabi T-A (#12) and hope to get back on the winning track.
