Another interesting game for Russian UMMC Ekaterinburg (1-0) which played on the court of French Villeneuve D'Ascq (0-1). UMMC Ekaterinburg crushed hosts 99-51. The game without a history. UMMC Ekaterinburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. UMMC Ekaterinburg's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Magali Mendy (178-90, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Angie Bjorklund (183-89, college: Tennessee, agency: ProDep Management) scored 10 points. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against CCC Polkowice (#5) at home in the next round. Villeneuve D'Ascq will play against Castors Braine to get more than just one victory in their record.
