Everything could happen in Athens at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Panathinaikos and 8th ranked Olympiacos had identical 3-2 record. This time Panathinaikos used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Pireus 93-80 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 52-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
