Another upset was a game between Greek Panathinaikos (5-4) and Russian Khimki (3-6), which took place in Khimki. Higher ranked Panathinaikos lost to eleventh ranked Khimki in a road game 68-76 on Friday. The game without a history. Khimki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Panathinaikos to just 7 points in third quarter. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimki have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eleventh position with 3-6 record, which they share with Baskonia. Defending Greek champion Panathinaikos keep the seventh place with four games lost. Khimki will face higher ranked Bayern Muenchen (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
