Important game to mention about took place in Tel-Aviv. Fourteenth ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (5-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Italian Armani Milano (7-8) 94-92 on Thursday evening. Armani Milano was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Maccabi T-A shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Johnny OBryant-III (205-93, college: LSU) who scored 32 points and 5 rebounds. American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (203-88, college: Florida) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) added 16 points and 8 assists respectively. Four Maccabi T-A and five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Maccabi T-A. Defending Israeli champion moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Khimki. Armani Milano lost their fourth game in a row. Defending Italian champion dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost.
