The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. Unicaja Malaga managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Unicaja Malaga's 26. They outrebounded Unicaja Malaga 44-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Alberto Abalde (202-95) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) contributed with 18 points for the winners. French center Mathias Lessort (206-95, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Brian Roberts (187-85, college: Dayton) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Unicaja Malaga. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
