Regular Season Round 17: Darussafaka - CSKA 65-80

Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 16th ranked Turkish Darussafaka (2-15) was defeated by fourth ranked Russian CSKA (12-5) 80-65 on Wednesday. The game without a history. CSKA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Darussafaka's 38. CSKA looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was French guard Nando De-Colo (196-87) who scored 17 points. American Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Five CSKA players scored in double figures. Point guard Kartal Ozmizrak (189-95, agency: BeoBasket) produced 13 points and American forward Jeremy Evans (206-87, college: W.Kentucky) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Russian champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Darussafaka at the other side stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost.
