The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Limoges CSP Elite won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket forced 20 Limoges CSP Elite turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Thomas (196-94, college: Iowa St.) who scored 17 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). The other American import center Mike Tobey (212-94, college: Virginia) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Valencia Basket's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Jordan Taylor (188-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and swingman Axel Bouteille (200-95, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Valencia Basket and four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures.
