Regular Season Round 29: Khimki - CSKA 72-80

One of the most interesting games of round 29 was a derby match between two teams from Russia. Third ranked CSKA won against host Khimki (9-20) 80-72. The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 21-16 last quarter charge of Khimki cut the lead to 80-72 at the end of the game. CSKA made 31-of-36 charity shots (86.1 percent) during the game. Khimki was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. French guard Nando De-Colo (196-87) nailed 14 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and American center Kyle Hines (198-86, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. CSKA will play against Baskonia (#6) in Vitoria in the next round. Khimki will play on the road against FC Barcelona (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
