Finals Game 1: Valencia - ALBA 89-75

Valencia overpowered ALBA in the championship series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. ALBA Berlin managed to win second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Valencia Basket outrebounded ALBA Berlin 40-22 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Belgian point guard Sam Van-Rossom (188-86) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. American point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) answered with 17 points and 7 assists and Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (191-94, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 16 points in the effort for ALBA Berlin. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
