Regular Season Round 6: Milano - FC Barcelona 83-70

Round in Euroleague means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Milano where host Italian Armani Milano (5-1) beat league's leader Spanish FC Barcelona (5-1) 83-70 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of FC Barcelona. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 31-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) who scored 17 points and 7 assists. Serbian Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin-Spanish Nikola Mirotic (207-91) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and American center Brandon Davies (208-91, college: BYU, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Armani Milano have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with CSKA and FC Barcelona. FC Barcelona will play next round against Zalgiris trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Armani Milano will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Baskonia in Vitoria.
