Regular Season Round 21: Fenerbahce - Milano 73-64

Date: January 24, 2020
An interesting game took place in Istanbul, where higher ranked Italian Armani Milano (10-11) lost to eleventh ranked Turkish Fenerbahce (9-12) in a road game 64-73 on Friday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Armani Milano won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Italian forward Luigi Datome (203-87) who scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Greek point guard Kostas Sloukas (197-90) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Kaleb Tarczewski (213-93, college: Arizona) who recorded 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively. Armani Milano's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fenerbahce moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Crvena Zvezda and Khimki. Armani Milano lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Fenerbahce will face ALBA Berlin (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
