Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Polish Arka Gdynia (3-9) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Hungarian Sopron Basket (6-6) 77-67 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 39-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sopron Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Arka Gdynia's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Candice Dupree (188-84, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian Jelena Milovanovic-Brooks (189-89) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Defending Hungarian champion maintains fourth position in Group B with 6-6 record, which they share with Lyon. Arka Gdynia lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Sopron Basket will face Dynamo Kursk (#6) at home in the next round. Arka Gdynia will play against Lyon and hope to win that game.
