An interesting game took place in Milano where higher ranked Italian Armani Milano (11-12) was upset on its own court by sixteenth ranked German ALBA Berlin (8-15) 102-96 on Tuesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. ALBA Berlin made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Armani Milano was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Swedish Marcus Eriksson (201-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. American point guard Peyton Siva (182-90, college: Louisville) helped adding 12 points and 7 assists. Serbian Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 20 points and 5 assists and Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) scored 13 points and 9 assists. Five ALBA Berlin and four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA Berlin moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Baskonia. Loser Armani Milano keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. ALBA Berlin will face league's second-placed Real Madrid at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
