Euroleague top team - Spanish FC Barcelona (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked German ALBA Berlin (1-4) 103-67. The game without a history. FC Barcelona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 65.6 percent from the field. FC Barcelona outrebounded ALBA Berlin 39-21 including a 29-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. FC Barcelona players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Nikola Mirotic (208-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Pierre Oriola (208-92) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) answered with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Italian forward Simone Fontecchio (203-95) added 17 points in the effort for ALBA Berlin. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FC Barcelona have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Defending German champion ALBA Berlin dropped to the seventeenth position with four games lost. FC Barcelona's next round opponent will be Fenerbahce (#7) in Istanbul which should be theoretically another easy game. ALBA Berlin will play on the road against Olympiacos (#6) in Pireus and hope to win that game.
