Regular Season Round 11: Maccabi T-A - AX Armani MI 85-86
Date: November 26, 2020
A very interesting game took place in Tel-Aviv. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 15th ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (3-8) to eleventh ranked Italian Armani Milano (5-3) 86-85 on Thursday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Danish forward Shavon Shields (201-94, college: Nebraska) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. American guard Elijah Bryant (196-95, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American-Turkish guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida, agency: BeoBasket) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for Maccabi T-A in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Armani Milano moved-up to eighth place. Maccabi T-A lost their third game in a row. Defending Israeli champion dropped to the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Armani Milano's next round opponent will be ALBA Berlin (#14) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi T-A will play against Crvena Zvezda and hope to win that game.
