Regular Season Round 3: Fenerbahce - Lyon 70-84

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Turkish Fenerbahce (2-1) in Istanbul on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by French Lyon (2-1) 84-70. Lyon looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: MTSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Polish-French center Helena Ciak (197-89) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Kayla McBride (180-92, college: Notre Dame) with 28 points and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American-Turkish center Kiah Stokes (191-93, college: UConn) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Lyon is looking forward to face Arka Gdynia (#4) on the road in the next round. Fenerbahce will play against USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
