The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Monaco outrebounded JSF Nanterre 37-21 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: MTSU, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Rob Gray (185-94, college: Houston) chipped in 19 points. Five Monaco players scored in double figures. At the losing side Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) responded with 14 points and point guard Chris Warren (177-88, college: Ole Miss) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
