The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Russian CSKA (15-6) in Moscow on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Turkish Fenerbahce (11-10) 89-83. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for French guard Nando De-Colo (196-87) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Czech center Jan Vesely (213-90) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Georgian forward Tornike Shengelia (206-91, agency: Wasserman) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (213-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for CSKA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CSKA's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fenerbahce have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CSKA at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Barca. Fenerbahce is looking forward to face Maccabi T-A (#12) in Tel-Aviv in the next round. CSKA will play on the road against ALBA Berlin (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
