Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Greek Olympiacos (11-11) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Italian Armani Milano (14-7) 90-79 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Olympiacos was better in third quarter 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. American-Serbian guard Kevin Punter (192-93, college: Tennessee) scored 27 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cypriot-Bulgarian forward Aleksandar Vezenkov (206-6) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kostas Sloukas (190-90) scored 17 points and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Armani Milano have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Olympiacos dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Armani Milano will face Zenit (#5) in Sankt Petersburg in the next round. Olympiacos will play at home against the league's leader FC Barcelona (#1) and hope to win that game.
