Semi-Finals Game 1: Flammes - Valencia 68-80

Valencia advanced into the championship game after they handled Carolo Basket in the second semifinal game of the day. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia. Flammes managed to win third quarter 26-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Raquel Carrera (188-1) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American center Celeste Trahan-Davis (186-85, college: ECSU, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Valencia's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Tima Pouye (174-99) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Evelyn Akhator (190-95, college: Kentucky) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Flammes.
