The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Italian Milano as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Milano defeated bottom-ranked Turkish Efes at home 75-71. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-71. Milano looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) fired 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Greek power forward Konstantinos Mitoglou (210-96, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) produced 17 points and 5 assists and American-Turkish guard Shane Larkin (182-92, college: Miami, FL) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Efes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Milano have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Barca. Defending Turkish champion Efes still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Zalgiris and Bayern. Efes will play next round against Unics trying to get back on the winning streak. Milano will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket at home.
