Everything could happen in Moscow at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Russian MBA and bottom-ranked Hungarian Atomeromu had identical 0-3 record. This time MBA used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Szekszard 65-62 on Wednesday night. Point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) fired 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Gosselina Maiga (192-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four MBA players scored in double figures. MBA's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-94) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and American-Hungarian forward Cyesha Goree (191-93, college: Michigan) added 8 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. MBA (1-3) left bottom position moving up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Venezia. It was Atomeromu's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. MBA will meet Venezia (#7) on the road in the next round. Atomeromu will play against the league's second-placed UMMC and hopes to get finally their first victory.
