There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Italian Schio (1-3) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Polish Arka Gdynia (1-3) 71-67 on Wednesday. Australian swingman Alice Kunek (187-91, agency: LBM Management) fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Morgan Bertsch (190-97, college: UC Davis, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Giorgia Sottana (175-88) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Defending Polish champion left bottom position moving up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with defeated Schio. It was Schio's third loss in a row. Arka Gdynia will meet higher ranked Basket Landes (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Schio will play against Fenerbahce and hope to win that game.
