Regular Season Round 15: Fenerbahce - Maccabi T-A 90-79

An interesting game took place in Istanbul where higher ranked Israeli Maccabi Tel-Aviv (7-8) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Turkish Fenerbahce (6-9) 90-79 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce. Maccabi Tel-Aviv managed to win fourth quarter 28-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American center Devin Booker (205-91, college: Clemson) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. French guard Nando De Colo (196-87) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Keenan Evans (191-96, college: Texas Tech) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Fenerbahce. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Monaco and Crvena Zvezda. Maccabi Tel-Aviv lost their fifth game in a row. Defending Israeli champion keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fenerbahce will meet at home Baskonia (#15) in the next round. Maccabi Tel-Aviv will play against Efes (#11) and hope to secure a win.
