Bottom-ranked Hungarian Atomeromu (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-64 loss to seventh ranked Russian MBA (3-8) in Szekszard. Center Zhosselina Maiga (192-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. Center Anastasia Logunova (193-90, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. MBA's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Slovenian guard Zala Friskovec (180-99) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian-Hungarian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. MBA maintains seventh place with 3-8 record. Atomeromu lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. MBA will play against higher ranked Venezia (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atomeromu will play against the league's leader UMMC and will have a slim chance for a victory.
